Mother Earth has provided us with bounty and abundance and many healing foods + herbs that you may already enjoy. Food as Medicine. I always recommend organic, local farmer's markets, and/or kosher sources because they grow the highest frequency and most nutritionally dense foods. Here we go:
1. To lower blood pressure try drinking mineral water.
2. Good for your brain: ginger, turmeric, purple sweet potatoes, coffee (2 cups per day, not decaf, organic without added toxins like artificial sweeteners), sardines, sage, and oranges are good for your memory.
3. To balance blood sugar-rice pudding with a dash of cinnamon and foods containing lots of the mineral magnesium such as spinach.
4. Cilantro is a natural antibiotic.
5. Anti-cancer foods: sauerkraut and other fermented foods
6. Good for your eyes: edible nasturtium petals. Add to your salads.
7. Beer can be good for the bones. High malt barley and hops content contains naturally occurring silicon.
8. Good for your heart: macadamia nuts; red tea
9. For insomnia: nutmeg
10. For joint pain: pineapple
11. For thick, healthy hair: F&F, that is Flax and Fish (wild-caught salmon, sardines)
12. For hot flashes: rhubarb
13. To lower "bad" cholesterol: grapefruit; pistachios
