Researchers for the International Centre for Circulatory Health in London pooled data from seven questionable studies on heart disease and concluded that taking a statin with a Quarter Pounder with cheese and a small milkshake would neutralize the harmful effects of the fats in those meals. The study reads, "statin therapy can neutralize the cardiovascular risk caused by harmful diet choices...fast food outlets already offer free condiments. A free statin-containing accompaniment would offer cardiovascular benefits, opposite to the effects of equally available salt, sugar, and high-fat condiments".
