Energy Drinks--Just say NO!

Energy drinks contain huge amounts of caffeine.  I just had a friend who was taken to the hospital because they thought he was having a heart attack.

One 24 oz. can of Monster Energy contains 240 mg of caffeine-this is 7 times the caffeine in one can of soda.  One Grande Starbucks coffee can contain 330 mg of caffeine.

It is recomended that teenagers (who may drink more than 1 or 2 every day) have no more than 100 milligrams of caffeine a day!

These artificial drinks are very dangerous, especially if you have any sort of heart vulnerability to begin with or are a still-developing child or teenager.

Instead, take a look at why you feel you need the caffeine.

Here are five ways to increase your own energy naturally:

1. Take a 10 minute power walk. Swing your arms and walk fast. Outside. Clear your mind.

2.  Drink a large glass of filtered room temperature water.  You may just be thirsty.

3.  Meditate.  Take a visualization break for 5 minutes.

4.  Try the "brush off" technique. Literally brush off your head, shoulders, back, and see the lower energies you may have picked up from your day simply swept away and dissolved.

5. Schedule a session with an Energy Healing Practitioner.  (Many of us work remotely at a mutually scheduled time).
