When
I first got on the Internet, I could not do anything technical. In fact, the
first year pretty much all my income went to paying my team. In those days, we
didn't have Wordpress or blogs, it was all html and I could not code, nor did I
want to learn!
But,
then I realized that I was never going to make a profit that way. Luckily,
things changed and with Wordpress came Optimize Press where you could drag and
drop. There was still a learning curve, but I was working with a web person who
was really good at it, and little by little she showed me how to use it. I never
became a whiz at it, but I got good enough to lay out a page and then turn it
over to a tech person to "make it pretty".
And
now, every once in a while, someone marvels at how "tech savvy" I am, and I have
to laugh. I would never call myself tech savvy. But I have come a long way from
the early days on the Internet!
Plus,
it's getting easier and easier to look good and handle the tech stuff all the
time. Whereas before I had to create a page, now in Click Funnels, I can just
import a page that's already done and just change the text! It's amazing how
much things have changed!
And
yet, I still have some anxiety around the tech side of building my first funnel.
I still have to learn how to navigate around Click Funnels. So, it's perfect
that Embrace your Geekness Day is this week, because that's what I'll be doing
to build my funnel. Getting my geek on!
In
other news, this week pretty much sucked. Sorry, but just telling it like it is.
My mom died on the 6th of July, so that weekend is always hard. But on the 4th I
got a splitting migraine that lasted 3 days. It were as if someone stuck a knife
in the middle of my right eye. I tried everything I could to get it to stop but
it wouldn't. Finally, in desperation, I got online and asked for prayers from my
Facebook friends and in ten minutes it was gone! I was thrilled. But, it wasn't
over...
The
next morning I work up with a pinched nerve and could barely move. I just laid
there all day. Torcher for someone like me who likes to stay busy. So, now I've
been working on getting over that. Better today than yesterday and hopefully it
will be better tomorrow than today.
So
there you have it. Some days and some weeks are just like that.
That's
it for now!
