Football is practically a religion in the U.S. and the crowning event is the
Super Bowl. Everything else stops in our house! It is when the two top teams
meet face to face to decide who is the best team in the nation. This year the
big deal is quarterback vs. quarterback: Peyton Manning vs. Cam Newton. Peyton
is the veteran looking to go out on a high.
However, in business it’s not like that. There are billions of people on
earth and there is room for everyone to succeed. Still, it is easy to get
sucked in and compare yourself to others believing that there isn’t room for
you, or that you aren’t good enough. I know because I’ve experienced
it myself. And, I know others have too because I am putting together a
series on overcoming depression for entrepreneurs. I asked my community on
Facebook what depressed them and boy did they let me know!
And comparing themselves to others was definitely high on the list. It
can also be hard if you’re struggling and you see all the “happy” people on
Facebook sharing their wins. I put that in parentheses because the truth
is, while people are sharing the wins, they often times don’t share all the
other trying things that are going on in their lives. And I’m not saying it’s
easy to stop, but if you’ve been comparing yourself to others-stop-or at least
commit to working on it! It’s time for you to shine.
In business news….We just took “From Zero to Sales Hero,
How to Double Your Sales & Income in Less than 90 days”, from Amy &
Andy Simatos to #1 in two categories! It never gets old! It is such a joy
to be able to help authors become “bestselling authors”. And, there’s nothing
like seeing your hard work finally rewarded! Once you become a #1 Bestseller,
you can never go back (in a good way) and life will never be the same. I can’t
wait to help more authors! And, guess what? There were some glitches, it wasn’t
a perfect launch, but when you know what you’re doing it doesn’t matter. I just
go in and fix them!
Here’s what Amy had to say about the launch:
“Ellen knows her stuff! Sign up with her today. I made #1 best seller within
hours of my book launch!!”
BTW: Thanks to Coach Terri Levine for the referral!
