Go for a Ride

Happy Go for a Ride Day!

As the holidays approach, life can become chaotic and stressful. Today is the day to take a break and go for a ride! Enjoy! (If you just can't get away today, do it over the weekend.)

It's been a pretty crazy time for me. I've been having a lot of tech issues. First, my bluetooth wasn't working, then my podcast wasn't working, and then my Internet wasn't working, twice! Needless to say, everything is off-schedule. But, sometimes, life is just like that and you have to let it all go and do what you can. I can't say it's easy for me to do. It isn't. But what else can you do?

I finally had to cancel the podcast for this week. And that's also why the newsletter is so late.

In business, I've been participating in my partner, Jeff Hunter's, LinkedIn 30-day Video Challenge, and it's been really fun. I haven't done it every day and I haven't beaten up on myself. I've just done it on the days when I can. Doing video is NOT my favorite thing to do. I'm a writer by nature. So, any time I get some videos done in it an accomplishment. Can you relate?

What I learned so far is that one of main things that holds me back is not knowing what to talk about on a daily basis because I have been talking about books for the past 15 years, so it's nice to have a fresh perspective-Jeff has been giving us prompts. And with prompts, it's easy-it just takes me a few minutes to write it out. Practice it a few times, and record. I also realized that by watching myself, (which is also not one of my favorite thing to do) I can see what I don't like and work on changing it. And I could see improvement between even day one and day two!

I'm also really excited about the new courses, I've been creating this year for my first funnel. I've finished them, and they are now with my team for some finishing touches, Then we'll be pre-launching; you get it first! Woo-hoo!

And finally, as we come into the holiday season, more people tend to get depressed. And it is rampant among entrepreneurs-dramatically higher than for the general population (30% vs. 7%). So, I'm going to be discussing it on the next podcast with a few of my co-writers in How to Crush it In Business Without Crushing Your Spirit, How Entrepreneurs Can Overcome Depression and Find Success! I haven't done a podcast with more than one guest, so we'll see how it goes.

I'll also be publishing the print version of the book finally! I don't recommend waiting two years between versions of your book, but there were some issue that held it up when it was going to be published by a company, so eventually I decided to go with self-publishing and I'm excited to finally make it available.

That's it for now!

ROCK your business with books!
