Twitter is a great search engine and can be used to find contacts and leads for your business.   You can search for topics or industry leaders and find the conversations based on specific hashtags.

You can monitor the conversations about your industry, your company and your competition.  This provides an excellent learning tool on what's happening in your marketplace in real time.

You can also find out the concerns and problems people are having in order to provide solutions that meet their needs.   It's great for market research.

Searching Hashtags for events and conferences lets you follow along in the conversation.   Great way to find new people to follow and join the conversation.

Twitter lists are ideal places to look for your target audience by checking the profiles of leaders in your industry to see what lists they subscribe to.

To Success!
