Are You Good News? Only You Can Choose.

Anne Frank - en.wikipedia

“Everyone has inside of him a piece of good  news. The good news is that you don’t know how great you can be! How much you can love! What you can accomplish! And what your potential is!”   ~ Anne Frank

Whether we realize it or not, each of us is a form of news.

We need not carry a banner, sport a tee shirt with a slogan or even utter a word in order to broadcast our version of the news to the world around us.

Why?

Because much of the “news” we carry is delivered through our thoughts and intentions. And they translate through our energetic being.

For example, we can silently convey the energies of joy, inclusion and welcome or other energies like sorrow, domination and rejection.

I can easily recite how influential one person’s “news” can be by sharing just a few personal recollections:

A third grade teacher whose presence brought lighthearted fun to her entire class of students and who made learning a joyful and pleasurable adventure.

A fourth grade teacher whose presence was so foreboding that one of the biggest students in her class feared he was going to suffer a nervous breakdown.

A beautiful, young nun whose playful spirit made her a sought-after celebrity on the school yard.

A frustrated Mother Superior whose dominating spirit made me feel faint from fear.

A fun-loving guy whose gregarious spirit greeted me every morning at work and whose presence outside my office always made me smile.

A relative whose heavy-laden entry into a room could cause the sparkle of life to be replaced by clouds of mourning.

A friend whose embracing spirit welcomed all into her path — whether she knew them previously or was meeting them for the very first time.

Aristotle Quote

We are far more powerful than we realize.

And we convey to others the world that we carry inside our mind.

So are we mindful of the type of news we’re telegraphing to others? Anne Frank provided the perfect quote for today’s post. Though confined as a young girl during WWII’s dark holocaust, Ann found the secret to happiness. She understood that happiness is found within us.

When people see you coming, do they prepare themselves for conflict and strife or welcome your presence as a breath of fresh air?

As Aristotle tells us, “Happiness depends upon ourselves.” I hope that you’ll consider making happiness a part of your world and extending it out to those around you, too!
