tribute to my friend–restaurateur, lifestyle guru and model–Barbara “B.”
Smith–who passed away at her Long Island home last weekend.
I
developed a friendship with B. and her husband, Dan Gasby, when my nephews
(Noble and Nathan Jolley), were the featured jazz performers for The B. Smith
Restaurant at Union Station in Washington, DC. over a decade ago. I was
fortunate to have had the opportunity to interview them for my Sirius XM
show.
When
I heard of B.’s death, I decided to search for that interview and listen to it
one more time. It blew my mind! They offered wise insight on success and wealth
